Hey guys,
As part of our contract, we requested our builder to install fly screens for all our windows and our stacker doors. The fly screens for the stacker doors have large gaps underneith them (enough for a full grown huntsmen to easily walk back adn forth below it). Is this normal? Our SS claimed this was normal and we need to have this gap below the sliding stacker fly screens.
Also, our awning windows fly screens are currently attached by a small circular velcro strip only and they constantly fall off the windows. I've never seen fly screens attached by velcro. They also are very loose fitting which again, the SS said is normal to allow 'easy' cleaning but seems to make them pretty useless at acting as fly screens. For some windows, the fly screens seem to just barely cover the opening.
I'm not sure if i'm being picky about this or whether I'm in the right to complain about this. Is this normal? Should I just buy a roll of velcro tape and try to secure them more securely or is this really a poor installation?
