Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 26, 2010 3:07 pm I can't seem to find the information on the web. Is there a sheer blind that allows you to see out clearly, obscures vision in and lets the breeze flow through. Preferably without banging against the frame. Any help would be appreciated. Gravity. Re: sheer blinds that let the breeze through 4Jan 28, 2010 5:15 pm I visited a few stores and even they don't know of a blind that won't bang against the frame in the wind. Thanks for taking a look and having a think about it people. Cheers Gravity. Its the law. You can get them for outdoor blinds as well. I've also seen them in a couple of display houses and I suspect these would have been installed by specialist window stores. The fabric is open weave and while I haven't had them in my current house, I fitted Spotlight aluminium venetians and worried about them flapping in the sea breeze each afternoon but they are OK as long as I lock them into the bracket on the windowsill. Of course, if it's blowing a gale then anything will flap to some extent as the wind has to go around the blind rather than through it! Here's the url to show the brackets I'm talking about...they are called 'hold down brackets' but as I said there may be a special bracket for roller blinds. <http://www.fixmyblinds.com/brackets.html> Hope this helps? if I find anything else I'll let you know. Re: sheer blinds that let the breeze through 8Jan 29, 2010 6:09 pm They look perfect. If you put them to the sides of the frame(for a blind inside the frame) you'd barely notice they were there. Thanks, I was considering curtains but I'd prefer blinds. I'm building a relatively small house and I thought curtains would make it feel smaller. Much appreciated. Gravity. Its the law.
