Hi,
I live in a townhouse in Sydney's Inner West. The front gets morning sun from the North and the side gets afternoon sun from the West, so in summer the house gets hot, particularly upstairs.
I have Venetian blinds on most of the windows in my townhouse. It occurred to me yesterday that the North-facing window in the stairwell is not shaded and lets in the sun all day.
I have two queries:
1) Would this one window contribute greatly to the heat upstairs?
2) This window is even with the upstairs landing, but cannot be accessed from the bottom step. If I got Venetian blinds for this window, would the control chords have to be ridiculously long for me to access them?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
