Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Oct 06, 2009 12:10 pm Hi everyone, We are building in the bush fire prone - flame zone. The new requirement is to have windows/doors glazing meet FRL -/30-, which is $15K upgrade. The builder has given us the specs yet, but does anyone know what sort of glass will meet FRL -/30-? Would it be made of diamand ? It's still cheaper than shutters though. Are they THAT good? Re: Bush Fire - Glazing FRL -/30- 3May 06, 2011 1:11 am Hi Jaz, Did you go ahead with this glass? We are about to start our reno, but out FZ rating may put a stop to that. I was under the impression that all doors and windows needed to have fire shutters. Did you not have to do this?
