Browse Forums Windows & Doors Re: Are you a curtain or blinds person? 23Sep 25, 2009 11:37 pm I prefer blinds hands down, whether it's venetians, romans or verticals. We're having a combination of them all. Front fascade will have the more $$ timber venetians, the bathroom and toilet will have not cheaper ones....living and laundry will be verticals and the rest of the house will be slimline verticals I originally had some gorgeous romans for these areas but budget hasn't stretched far enough to get them straight away so they'll just have to wait Re: Are you a curtain or blinds person? 24Sep 26, 2009 1:13 pm I've gone for a combination too. Romans (blockout) in the family, meals, kitchen, stairwell, kids playroom and study Rollers (blockout) in the kids bedrooms, pantry, laundry, bathroom, toilet and ensuite Sunscreen blind under Roman in the kids playroom as we have translucent glass and it's glarey Drapes and sheers in the master bedroom Sheers with a decorative scarf thingy in the formal lounge, blockout roller underneath for winter Drapes (ceiling to floor) in the HT All our roller blinds are over-rolled I think they look nicer this way. They also sit in the frame so give better coverage. Our Romans sit on the outside of the frame. My girls are getting Austrian blinds to sit over their rollers and my son is getting a Roman over his.
