Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 09, 2009 10:19 pm Hi I am after a recommendation for a door place in Vic that do screen doors for sliding doors (not offered by our builder although he said he could get us a quote....) I'm undecided between your sturdy grill ones (not the flimsy wire) or the complete stainless steel mesh ones that you look straight through.....either of these below: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I do much prefer the see-through ultra tough stainless steel mesh, but I'm assuming they cost heaps more.... Any good websites anyone can direct me too? Prices? (we have 2 large sliding doors and 1 narrow laundry sliding door) Cheers Caz Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... I am in the south east and I'm using Casey Screens for our front security door with the stainless steel mesh. It has a nicer profile than the standard doors and comes with a triple lock and a draft strip at the bottom. The price was very good too. Stainless Steel Mesh? 5Sep 10, 2009 11:01 am For the "clear" screen type doors there are at least two varieties that I am aware of. A woven stainless steel and a perforated steel sheet. We have the woven stainless steel type on a sliding rear door and a regular front door for no reason other than we found that it looked nicer. Try your local distributor for these guys if you like the product : http://www.amplimesh.com.au/document.php?objectID=189 Re: Screen sliding doors in Vic? Standard Front Door was around the $600 mark. Standard Sliding Door was more like around $800 (although i think our door was "wide" - over 1000mm). Hope that helps. Re: Screen sliding doors in Vic? Stainless Steel Mesh? 9Sep 11, 2009 12:43 pm We were quoted between $850 & $1000 for one of those s/s doors on our single front door Can imagine how expensive sliding doors will be Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Screen sliding doors in Vic? Stainless Steel Mesh? 10Oct 20, 2009 11:54 am I'm deciding on screen doors for the sliding doors as well. We have 7 panels... I have the option to go with: - Galvanized Steel Screen = $3200 or - Stainless Steel Screen = $4000 Both are clear view. And they look the same too. Just not sure if the extra 800 is worth it. And if $3200 is too expensive for Galvanized Steel. Any ideas? Thanks \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Re: Screen sliding doors in Vic?
