Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 04, 2009 4:44 pm Hi Guys .. I'm looking for anyone who'd done awning over windows through a supplier in Sydney .. What are the choices? Metal/Wood/Aluminium? .. and how much do they normally cost (any ball figure..) I'm not sure if I'm calling it the right thing .. Its the "Shade" over a window installed externally that is fixed over the window top and hangs with two rods (looks like a triangle from the side ..) here's the image .. Re: Awning over windows.. supplier / cost? 3Sep 05, 2009 7:49 pm hi bluemetal77, what side of the house will this be going on? We also will need to do something to comply with the basix, and we are using these on the west side of the house. As I do not want to have to maintain them we are going aluminium. you can get them with poly carbonate sun sheets too. A few sites for you: http://www.begablinds.com.au/specialty.htm http://www.redcoproducts.com.au/our-brands.html We do not costings as yet as my builder is yet to get back to me with a sample from his supplier. hope this helps. progress viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20401 sculptures viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26607 pole trouble viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25988 Re: Awning over windows.. supplier / cost? 4Sep 08, 2009 11:01 pm Ours have to go over the northern side of the house .. and it has to go there because the windows are not shaded by eaves .. hence! .. I'll go visit bunnings and see if they have anything of the sorts.. the last time i visited they had the polycarbonate awnings ($150 or so) .. but that will look stupid on a new-style house.. My builder gave me a quote of $500 for a 1.8m long (600m protruding out) shade (like the one in the pic above) .. but i wanna get something cheaper as there are other windows too! .. Let me know if you have some luck .. otherwise i'm gonna make these myself and install it! --- I don't have a signature - just this sentence saying that I don't have one - that'll do! 4 14309 Hi everyone, Looking for some advise. We are about to build an above ground pool in our backyard. There is a private sewer line running under the pool at 1.6m… 0 11763 Much a do about nothing. You can see the fall heading to the actual drains. Stormwater ingress will be minimal and it's far better to have the top sitting flush rather… 12 6253 |
