Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 18, 2009 2:21 pm One more curtain / blind-related thing from me. We want to get timber blinds for the study. The window is standard, not floor to ceiling, but quite large anyway. On all these standard pricings at places like Spotlight, Kresta, Victory, etc, they have 2 measurements and I assume we’re one of them. Anyway, say we bought blinds from one of these places, but would still need them installed, does anyone know a company who does this but who doesn’t charge $50 billion to do it? We are definitely not doing it ourselves. Right now there are curtains there and we’d have to have the pole removed from the wall (it’s not just a loose pole supported by 2 brackets, it’s an attached built-in pole thing with supports, all attached) and have the right blind pole attached in its place, and then the blinds actually hung on that somehow. Can any handyman do this? Thanks! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: A blind question…installation 2Aug 19, 2009 7:47 pm I was going to offer to do it but then I read where your located. We cut down our own timber blinds on our last house and no one could really tell the difference between those we did and the big blind (non standard) that we had made special. However, a good carpenter/handyman should be able to do this for you (if you know one or can get a recommendation) Good luck Dirk Re: A blind question…installation 3Aug 20, 2009 1:26 pm Thank you!
