Is this true? Hi 1983yzb, I have looked into this for you in the hope that I can offer you some helpful advice. Whilst brass may look good it is hard work to maintain the original appearance and condition. It is also not very cost effective. Aluminum is extremely durable hence why manufacturers use this for sliding doors and all of our (and predominantly other builders) windows/bi-fold doors. Also, you must be careful when putting brass near salt conditions as they will negatively effect the appearance. Does that answer your question? Cheers, Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions? As we are interested in a 6 metre span, could you please give us an indication of cost for your 7m span. Many thanks. For aluminium doors you will be looking at between $12-1400 a panel. 6m span would be about 8 panels https://form.jotform.com/240284569218058 Please spare a moment to fill out this survey form for a project.
