Browse Forums Windows & Doors Re: Black Nickle door handle 2Jul 13, 2009 8:04 pm Mishti I had black nickel handles in my last kitchen, and they looked fantastic when new, but went patchy and looked awful in a very short time. They may not be the same as you have, but thought I should mention it... Maybe you could ask your supplier about this Re: Black Nickle door handle 3Jul 13, 2009 8:16 pm we have black nickle bow( D) handles in our new kitchen. Michelle used to have them in her previous house.I'm a bit worried about the fading thing you mention Laine. I'll try and take a pic tomorrow and will post if our broadband is back up.We have black cupboards though so they don't show up well and look more dark silver than black nickel because of it. I think they would have looked much nicer with the rock salt cupboard doors we were originally having. Re: Black Nickle door handle 4Jul 13, 2009 10:02 pm We are having Formica Rock Salt as well for overhead cupboards... the other one is Burnished Wood which is quite close to black... I quite liked it when i saw it at Hopetoun, but worried about the patchiness now... Re: Black Nickle door handle 5Jul 15, 2009 10:56 am Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6354 The warning is on the sticker on the door too. Second the aluminium powdercoat 6 18204 Get some long brass machine screws and bolt right through the gate and put brass acorn nuts and washers on the other side. It will never come off 1 9083 |
