Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 17, 2007 6:01 pm Hi, The Builder were looking like going with has advised us against getting cavity sliders as there may be access issues if they were get damaged .
Has anyone here had / have issues wit them. My parents have had theirs for 6 years with out a problem, they have 5 throughout their house. They got them as a no cost upgrade when they built as the builder said the cost of the door handles, locks etc on a normal door covers the cost of the rails on a Slider. Our potential Builder charges $284 per door! Does anyone have some advice for us? Re: Problems / Costs with Cavity Sliding Doors ? 2May 17, 2007 7:45 pm What a crock, ![]() we put one in, and it needs a little adjusmtent, nothing else. Seems the builder is too lazy as it takes a little more framing than a noremal wall. Go for it, it saves a heap of room, and is very practical. Adrian B Re: Problems / Costs with Cavity Sliding Doors ? 3May 25, 2007 1:06 am We supply and fit hundreds of cavity units and never have a problem with them.
I suggest you go for a twin track unit, as they are much more reliable. As far as costing goes, price varies with quality. Any of the Doors Plus interior range of doors can be used with our cavity units. Regards Michael Doors Plus, No Fuss...
