Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jun 24, 2009 8:36 pm Okay everyone.. if you havent seen my laundry.. here it is, it's obviously not finished yet! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ If you can't notice the problem.. it's that the laundry has no natural light entering.. MY MISTAKE. So I need a door with glass in it to fix this. I've found this on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0432938279 And it's only up to $12.50 right now which would be a PERFECT bargain concidoring they are retailing for $300+. I've contacted the seller to confirm that there is infact glass in the door and there is. I'm not sure if our current laundry door is 40mm or 30mm thick, will it matter if it's a different thickness? And does anything know how hard it is to install a door like this ourselves after handover? Re: Ebay Door - Advice PLEASE!! 2Jun 24, 2009 9:24 pm check the width of your doorway and make sure it's the same. It looks like the plain version of the corithian door we put as our laundry door. Re: Ebay Door - Advice PLEASE!! 3Jun 24, 2009 10:07 pm usually internal doors are 35mm thick and external doors are 40mm thick. So yours should be the same. I just replace the door on its own ie dont change the frame. It can take a few hours maybe more depending on what type of lock you install. It looks like the plain version of the corithian door we put as our laundry door. The width/heigh is fine.. just the thickness I was unsure of. The rest of our doors are the plain or flush ones so it will match! =) borg usually internal doors are 35mm thick and external doors are 40mm thick. So yours should be the same. Just had a look at the actual door and it has a sticker on it that says 35mm.. however the frame looks as though it can hold a further 5mm. It actually looks crooked as it is, as the hinge is flush with the inside and the lock is flush with the outside, so it's kind of crooked by 5mm. Not sure how that will work with the lock or whatever.. but we'll sort something out. I'm sure i won't be too dissapointed if it doesn't fit if i've only spent $13.
