Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jun 09, 2009 10:25 pm Hey guys, Just got our Dowell Bi-Folds installed by our builder and we are not happy with the way they open. We wanted one of the panels to open like a single door and then the other three panels to compact against however they hinge inbetween the 1st & 2nd and then hinge b/w the 3rd and 4th and all compact against 1 end. Just wondering if this could be changed post install without too much hassle? I was never asked which opening option we wanted. Cheers, Bailey. Some doors with 4 panels can't be configured with 1 of these as a separate hinged panel. You need to talk to Dowell. There are several configurations and everyone should be asked which they want.
