Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 20, 2009 5:56 pm Why do they have to go in prior to tiling? My floor is going to raise between 25 and 40 mm (depending on which tiler you believe...shown them the same sample tile and they are both laying cement base). I just am worried that if I buy the bi-fold doors and put them in my tile height will be wrong. But the carpenter says the doors have to go in before the tiles. I am so nervous about this remodel! Re: Bi-Fold doors 3May 20, 2009 6:37 pm It's not easy to adjust bifold doors if the tiles are too high. Check with the supplier of the door about the clearance height. The door should then be packed under the sill to clear your tiles, this is done during installation.
