Ground floor is of height 2700 and first floor is of height 2500. I am planning to use 1.8 m windows thru out the house. Is it Ok. I am planning to go for DA in next week. Thanks in Advance chandoo007 Re: Windows Height for Raised cealing (2700) 2May 04, 2009 1:09 pm chandoo007 Hi I am quite new to this forum. Please forgive my ignorance (if any). I've got 2.7 m high ceilings throughout and I'm going for 2.4 m head heights. This is for windows and doors as well. The cheaper option is a 2.1 m head height, but then there is 600 mm betweent the top of windows/doors and the ceiling, which I think is a bit too much. Also, not only do higher windows look nicer, but they give you more opportnity to look up to the sky which is a nice feeling. I agree... and the modern option has been to have windows start at floor level. (Some energy efficiency reasons have forced windows away from the floor while builders try to avoid double glazing). Have you raised the window height for bedroom as well? or can we raise it.. not sure how it will look ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7742 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
