Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Apr 12, 2007 10:00 pm I am in the process of building a house and am anticipating large music gatherings ofte n 50-80 people. I have gone for a floor plan that has an adjacent family and rumpus room. The rumpus room is intended to be used as a practice music room. When I have a music function I would like to open up the family and rumpus into one room to accomodate more people.
The opening between the family and rumpus is about 4mts wide. I would like to make the rumpus room as sound proof as possible. I thought bi-folding doors may be solution but havent found the right product yet. The ones that could reduce the sound have railings on the floor which is a problem inside the house with young kids running around. The ones that hang off the ceiling have too many gaps and will not be able to reduce the sound levels. Any suggestions, advise. Thanks in anticipation. vp Re: bi fold doors? 2Apr 15, 2007 10:57 am vpande I am in the process of building a house and am anticipating large music gatherings ofte n 50-80 people.
