In our laundry we're having shelving across a whole wall and then having 3 sliding doors to cover them. The builder has quoted $2700 for "Vinyl robe doors alum frame" they would cover approximately 3.3m. Would it be cheaper to get them done after building is completed? Ikea sold sliding doors and you can buy those and fix them yourself. Should be less than $300 per door ( one type should be $2xx a pair) depending on which style u pick. Spring is here! Hurray! Re: Sliding door costs 4Apr 25, 2009 9:28 pm I'm not sure about a sliding cupboard door, but our internal sliding doors are costing us around $350 each, supplied, fitted and painted (that is in lieu of a normal plaster opening). Surely 3 doors on rails can't be more than $1,000 ? Builders normally add a margin to everything they supply Three doors as you describe above would be $1275 supplied and installed.
