Gday all.
Ive got these windows unfortunately put in very badly by the previous owners (#326a previous owner stuffup), they are protruding around 10mm or so. Looks like poo. The paint sploshed all over them doesnt look to chop either...
All Ive come up with to fix them up is to run some 20 x 10mm pine around the edge level with the outer window frame to fill that 10mm protrusion, then a 40 x 10mm cover strip of pine over that and the edge of the frame. This will give a frame around the windows and cover the 10mm protrusion.
This is fine for windows without a bottom drain lip...but what about the ones that have? Im guessing Im going to have to attach a piece of timber as a tongue on the bottom? I would rather fill that painted bottom part of the frame though whilst still allowing drainage...is this possible somehow?
Heres some pics.
