Hi all
We are looking at having shutters installed throughout our house.
What are the pro's and cons of timber and aluminium? I am guessing that aluminium shutters are a cheaper option?

It may also be worth considering the heat transfer properties of aluminium compared to timber. Of course if you want shutters for looks only then heat radiation and transfer wouldn't be an issue. What brand are they? Or where did you buy them from? Are they basswood? I'm thinking of getting timber shutters for our master bedroom. But not sure about putting them on the slim line window in the ensuite (as per photo). I wonder if the steam from the shower could damage them?
