Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Feb 24, 2007 6:56 pm I am probably trying to do something that isn't possible but I need a solution for an internal curved wallwith a feature window. The window is in our bedroom and will look out (internally) into a double storey void space and onto our lower living area. The opening is about 2.8m long and is curved (the main wall through the house is curved). I originally thought putting bifold plantation shutters there would do the trick but realised that the fold back would probably break up the line of the wall and that when they were closed they would not match the curve, rather they would be straight.
My next thought was to try to get vertical wooden blinds which would run with the curve but I haven't seen anything in Australia and was hoping that someone might have a lead for me. Otherwise I am open to other possible solutions. Thanks in advance for your help. BUT..... What's with everyone? Why do so many think putting slats of wood everywhere is attractive? It is becoming soooooooooo blooooody mundane! A window like that calls for carefully chosen curtains. Beautiful textiles are so boooooooringly being overlooked as the adornment of our homes these days. Must be those bloody interior decorators polluting our creative juices, turning us into timber slat drones! Get smart.... Choose some lavishly exotic fabrics that co-ordinate all your bed-clothes with your curtains and your carpets. Oh no.... don't tell me you don't have carpets there either? Sacre bleu! Ash. Re: Can you get vertical timber louvres for a curved wall? 5Nov 23, 2007 3:33 pm I've seen the large timber louvres in the master bedroom wall, in a display Eco house. They look quite (no pun intended) cool and make the cross ventilation so much easier! Fashion may change, but practical benefits will stay the same.
