BTW, does anyone have this mesh as a window "fly"screen in an awning window? I wonder if it could be easily lifted and removed from the outside
Also, what kind of fixing knobs/buttons/thingies people have these days with the normal flyscreens?
If it's not for security - why not just get a regular fly screen door with a timber finish frame?
I have awning windows and we have regular steel flyscreens - I've tried lifting the fly screen from the outside - pretty much impossible unless you have a hack saw to cut the steel frame of the screen.
If you're getting roller blinds installed - the fitting for the blind actually screws the flyscreen frame in as well for extra security.
Mind you - most awning openings are so small that you'd need a kid under 5 yrs and a chain cutter to cut the winder chain to break in an awning window.
