Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 25, 2024 6:10 pm Hello My daughter has a 3 year old house on Brisbane southside. There is only a fixed window in the bathroom and an extractor fan, which I'm guessing isn't working well as they now have mould on the ceiling. Does anyone know if the fixed window can be changed to openable? Has anyone done this and any idea of cost? Is it a big or expensive job? Any recommendations for someone who can do the work? Would appreciate any advice, thanks. Re: bathroom with fixed window only now has mould on ceiling 2Jul 26, 2024 10:50 am ![]() Hello My daughter has a 3 year old house on Brisbane southside. As to replacing windows, its a fairly simple job for someone who does windows, but price is variable depending on quality of window and company installing it. Stick with the closed window and ensure the fan is sufficient and is able to draw fresh air into the bathroom from a low point to ensure adequate ventilation is being achieved.
