Concealed Roller Shutters

Hi all,

We are in the early stages of planning a Knock Down and Rebuild and are very keen on using concealed roller shutters on some of the windows. The concealed shutter is basically the same as a regular roller shutter but is completely concealed within the wall cavity. Access for maintenance is usually via a drop down bottom panel. These roller shutters are very common in Europe but seem to be scarce to non existent in Australia.

I have done quite a bit of research but have mostly come up blank. There is a company in SA that apparently does them and I have yet to contact them but I was wondering if anybody here has found a source. At this stage I mainly need tech details of how they are installed so the framing can be designed to accommodate them. I really don’t want to be in a situation where our ( future ) builder promises something that proves impossible to do.

the blinds seem to be regular blinds enclosed in an aluminium extrusion, go for somfy rts motors, you only need 240v L/N for each blind.

Sorry these are all internal, not sure about external options

Unfortunately they are both for roller blinds - not shutters. There are plenty of concealed blind manufacturers. I'm after concealed external shutters as per the link I provided.
