Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 15, 2024 3:30 pm Hi there! I’m new to this forum so hope for some help. I’m just getting quotes for double glazed aluminium windows and doors for our renovations so far I got: Rylock Stegbar Trend Green life Windows&doors Bradnams Midcoast windows Architectural aluminium The cost is anything from 38-68k!! I’m a bit at a loss how to know whether 68k is really better than the cheaper options… Opinions? I do like slimmer profile from the design perspective but energy efficiency is important. We have a combo of stacker doors, sliding windows, hinged doors… I did really like Rylock customer service and are on the top but maybe a bit chunky? Anyway, any tips would be so much appreciated. I’m located in Sydney’s northern beaches, thanks! Re: Double glazed aluminium windows-doors- slimline? 2Jan 15, 2024 9:27 pm Are they all thermally broken? If not, don't waste your money. Check out the Uw in WERS by looking at only windows with clear glass in both outer and inner panes, that is the only way to compare windows. Don't go PVC.
