If it's normal wear and tear, then either will do, if you want resistance to ingress then laminated would be the favourite, but only if the laminate is bonded to the frame. If it's not bonded then the glass can collapse into itself when broken, and it would be easy to break-in. It is surprising what toughened glass can bear as a load or impact.
