Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jun 24, 2023 9:59 pm Hi all, I took these photos when visiting my new townhouse recently and noticed that along the bottom of these window frames it looks uneven/wavy, with excessive material and there’s even a small gap (see close up). Apologies for not knowing the proper terms to describe the issue but I hope the photos show what I mean. My pre-settlement inspection is coming up, should I raise this issue as a defect? Even though the deadlines are set, in reality they tell me you are covered under builder's warranty, depending on your contract... Re: Is this a defect in my window frame? 3Jul 10, 2023 4:08 pm The way I see it, you should raise anything you aren't sure of in your inspection, they'll either note it down to be rectified or they will provide a reason why it is the way it is. I'm sure other more knowledgeable people on the forum might be able to provide a "correct/incorrect" to this particular issue, but my advice is more broad in raising anything you aren't sure of in the inspection. So I tried this old one of mine... Must be something wrong with the files, yet they insert fine into Word.
