Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 07, 2022 10:39 pm I recently received an order of 8 windows for my property in Victoria. These are double glazed low-e in aluminium frames. The windows came with no window stickers on them saying what the glass is. On all other building sites I've seen the windows are always labelled. Is there a requirement that the windows should be labelled? 1. explaining what the glass is 2. explaining what the wind rating is They have also put the low-e panel on the wrong one (surface 3 not surface 2 as ordered). I'm beginning to think that labels were removed so that hopefully I wouldn't notice their mistake. Thanks Note: I chose surface 2 as the internal reflectance is doubled if you put the low-e on surface three for this low-e coating. Even though surface 3 is marginally better cold performance. Re: Should windows be labelled on delivery 2Sep 08, 2022 10:35 am Mine weren’t, but they were delivered and installed by the manufacturer. However, over the years I have thought that my glass units are the wrong way around too. I suspect that not much attention is given to this as it is considered something that is trivial. It certainly isn’t trivial if you live in the house. Re: Should windows be labelled on delivery 3Sep 09, 2022 11:17 am Hi arcadelt Do you know about the lighter test? You can use this to work out where the low-e coating is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU8SamYUZ28 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16103 hey there! 😊 so, it’s kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 20995 I've decided, after a period of confusion (my building broker told me it's probably not worth it to use a lawyer, but others have said it is a must) that I definitely will… 7 27976 |
