Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 07, 2022 1:35 am Hi, We are currently building a house and wanted some guidance on the colour for the entrance door (made of Meranti Timber). We wanted it to match our garage door which is currently selected as the Caoba colour from Colorbond. While we understand that the Caoba colour is a blend of multiple browns (mostly dark brown), we wanted to know what are the options from the Dulux range which is close enough to it; preferably on the darker side. Appreciate any help you can provide. We are also looking at the stain option however the painter suggested to look at solid colours as an option too hence the question. Thanks in advance. Dark colours will void Hume guarantee. Semigloss finishes are recommended. Paint with a light reflectance value (LRV) finish greater than 50 should be used on external doors. See table below. ■ Use the same colour on all six door surfaces. Different colours may cause doors to warp. ■ Entrance Doors require overhead protection. https://www.humedoors.com.au/downloads#guarantee "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy. Re: Front Door Colour (Dulux equivalent to Caoba) 5Oct 13, 2023 9:52 pm We are at the same stage of door color selection. Our choice of garage door is Caoba too but unable to match it with any color paint for our front entry door. The door wood is Maple wood and the builder will be using a paint and then clear stain in it. Any suggestions for a matching color to Caoba is much appreciated. J To match the Caoba color of your garage door, you can consider darker shades from the Dulux range for your entrance door. Look for colors that are deep browns or dark shades that closely resemble the Caoba hue. Your options may include colors like "Chocolate Brown," "Dark Walnut," or "Espresso." These darker shades should complement the Caoba color well and give your entrance door a cohesive look with your garage door. It's also a good idea to test samples in different lighting conditions to ensure the color matches your preferences before making a final decision. I have a new Canadian Ash front door and frame.
