Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Oct 19, 2008 12:16 am I'm thinking of putting 2 sets of sliding stackers that meet at 90 degree angle.
Toast mentioned something today I hadn't even thoguht of... and that's problems later on with them closing and fitting together properly..... Now I'm worried... and wide awake... Anyone got any knowledge or experience on whether this is like ly to be an issue at any stage? Thanks, Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. But I'm just wondering about problems with them lining up..... Toast has got me worried! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Stackers don't work so well on the longer run. A double glazed lift and slide door is by far better choice and you avoid a large area without any insulation Plus it seals much better too! The stackers will be double glazed..... it will just make the whole area (family, dining and alfresco) one room so for us it is better lifestyle wise.... and that's why I'm building a house. And the second pic (just for I_BUILD) is what they look like (thanks nicmic7475.. your photo didn't load but you pointed me in the right direction ) Jo http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u353/joles_photo/Floorplan_Promenadealteredagain-2.png http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u353/joles_photo/Alfresco-stacker-doors-from-Trend-W.jpg I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Do you have a pic? Re: Sliding stackers meeting... problems? 17Oct 20, 2008 12:13 am Joles, not sure if you have seen the pics of my stackers in another thread....
the one when someone was asking about weather to do stackers or bifolds...............anyway, the pic you have posted is what we were going for but it costs a fortune as all the engineering to have the 2 frames meet must be done in the ceiling and therefore alot more costly.............to combat this we had to put in a steel structural pylon for the 2 frames to meet up to so therefore making the look we were going for pointless and the use of stackers pointless............you may aswell you sliders as Window Expert mentioned. Small disclaimer........I may not have explained it exactly right but thats the general gist. Or I could be making the whole lot up..........................................................................................Nope just checked with DH and I am on the right track.........who would have guessed that Corner Stacker 18Oct 31, 2008 2:22 pm Hi
We have these in an internal corner opening, but not on display. Price is good. How well they operate depends on installation and construction, but this should not be a problem. And yes they are adjustable for small variations. "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy.
