Aluminium sliding window

Looking to take out the entire timber window + frames and then put in a new sliding alumium window (slides horizontally). Must have flyscreen and a non-key lock that allows it to lock from the inside. As there are children in the property and the likelihood of the window breaking is high, is there a type of window that is more resistance to physical damage? E.g. double glazing etc?

Which supplier do you recommend for in Sydney? I can install myself (apprentice carpenter)
