Actually going through a EDR with the QBCC (QLD) due to the many many errors and mistakes. ONE of which is the external doors. The french doors that lead out onto the decks are a good 30 mm or more above the frame. The builder says this is necessary to install a waterproof system underneath. But no-one I know of who has built or extended has had this gap. And the builder did also say he didn't need to add flashing around windows, that the roof could not be built as drawn which is why he changed it and that he could bog fill and plane off poorly applied weatherboards. So i am not inclined to believe a word he says. Has anyone else had their external doors so high up from the frame?
