Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Oct 13, 2008 1:31 pm Hi All,
Was hoping for some help! currently building a house, and at the moment, blinds aren't high on our 'list of things to get straight away when we move in'. Was wondering if anyone knew of any temporory Blind solutions? i know in QLD and l think NSW there are Redi Shades in Bunnings, but the one bunning store that had them in Melbourne no longer supplies them! Does anyone know of any similar products? l google and seen Click-a-drape, they deliver, anyone used them? are they good? would you recommend them? Any help would be GREAT, would prefer not to put up the usual sheets if we can find a cheaper temporary solution for now! Re: Temporary blinds 3Oct 13, 2008 2:21 pm Thanks! Think spotlight sounds good, making them, umm, well me and a sewing needle don't really go well together!
so if you were to 'estimate' how much should l allow to curtain my home through Spotlight?? Re: Temporary blinds 5Oct 13, 2008 2:28 pm Measure all your windows…….
You will need to take these measurements with you to make sure you get the right size! I just bought some from Spotlight $70 for 2 drops. I thought that was good! I think you can get cheaper. When you’re finished with them…. after you get your REAL window dressing up, the cheapies from Spot Light,....they make good table cloths when you are having lots of people over. We decided to use fabric as I can always use them later on to make bedsheets, table cloths etc. It works out cheaper than temp shades. We bought 100% cotton- pretty thick ones, 1.5m wide, for $1.70 per metre in plain sky blue. So it works out to be only $3-$4 per window. But you really have to shop around and get the best bargain. Good luck.
Re: Temporary blinds 8Oct 13, 2008 3:04 pm Thanks!
The click a drape is about $15 per sheet of 100cm wide by 230cm drop! not sure if that is good! getting a free sample in the mail! i think that may be good for our windows we arent going to be using, like spare bedrooms but onces where we are wanting to open and shut, im thinking Spotlight is the way to go! Maybe a bit of material is easier for now! Too many choices Heres a link to that site if anyone is interested in the temporary ones l was speaking about! http://www.**.com.au/ ... ional/2647 Hi JW I just read your post and I find this situation quite strange.
