Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jan 14, 2021 1:04 am Since the build started and almost on completion. One of the big sliding door glass cracked 3 times that I noticed with. And the final stage with painting I don’t think the painters would crack it right? I did not see any tall ladder they are using. So I am now worried that it has problem of the installation and causing the cracks. My sliding door is recessed. But when they pour the slab, they forgot it. So they had to cut it back. I’m not sure if that’s where the problem is coming from. How can I find out? Start with the engineering drawings and make sure they have installed the correct lintel size and gap. Then check to see if the frame has distorted ,etc, etc, any loading causes the glass to crack Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Cracking sliding doors couple of times 3Jan 14, 2021 3:52 pm The head appears to sag, but if the door opens without rubbing then this is not the problem. Ask the supervisor he may know the reason.
