Am a little confused whether to have something like these pulls and then a mortice lock http://cgi.ebay.com.au/A-pair-of-stainl ... dZViewItem Or something like this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Entrance-door-lo ... dZViewItem but if we go with this option - do we have the "real" one on one side and a "dummy" one on the other side? Who knew handles could be so confusing!!!! Re: A Question For Those With Double Entrance Doors.... 2Oct 04, 2008 6:44 pm Is there enough room on that door for those long handles?
Why not make both of the doors open? You can get the pulls in a variety of lengths as well - so we can pick shorter ones if needed. Re: A Question For Those With Double Entrance Doors.... 4Oct 04, 2008 6:47 pm Actually I meant width. Are you having a security door(s)? If so then this might limit what sort of handle you have - it can't stick out too much as the security door will be in the way... Re: A Question For Those With Double Entrance Doors.... 8Oct 04, 2008 9:09 pm Hi Kyton,

DH has a chronic dislike of security doors. WE never had them on our front door in the last home we built either. Just means that the front door is always locked shut. The back of our house has quite a lot of bifolds & sliding doors - and will be where we spend the majority of our time so they will be left open for the kids to run in and out. Michelle - I probably would prefer that one door stays closed unless we choose to open it for moving in large objects etc. Mrs B - very nice hardware. Are you having handles on both sides or only one? Re: A Question For Those With Double Entrance Doors.... 10Oct 05, 2008 8:04 am we are going for standard handles - only because we are likely to need security screens for fire protection purposes. After 4 years - we're in! The warning is on the sticker on the door too. Second the aluminium powdercoat 6 18198 I don't know them all, the first 2 top of your list are best known.
