Good evening,
I’m planning over the next week or so to paint a number of timber windows at my property. The windows are 1980s timber awning windows which are a colorbond paperbark Colour.
My plan is to paint them monument to blend in with the rest of the house.
As far as paint goes, what kind of paint should I be looking to buy in terms of Matt, low sheen, semi-gloss or gloss? It’s hard to tell on my current windows as the paint is in poor condition.
Does anyone recommend a certain paint to withstand the exterior climate? Am I fine to go to Bunnings and buy dulux or taubmans or should I look at spending a bit more and go with say Haymes paint for example?
My plan is to sand them back as much as possible and apply two coats.
Happy to take any advice people wish to throw my way.
