I have just had 6 very large UVPC(4.6x1. windows and one French door installed.
4 large windows face west, French door north, the rest south.
The glass spec is 6.38 Lam / 17mm Air gap / 4mm glass low E surface 3
Even though not specifically noise reduction windows I wanted them installed to help with this aspect if possible.
The fitter advised to put the laminated to the outside to aid with this.
Two questions I have and cant get straight answers for from the glass supplier.
1. Is it better to have the laminated in or out for max distant traffic rumble reduction.
2. Does it matter that the low E coat is on face 3 on the west facing windows.
