Hi,
I need some advice for a frontyard walkway. The height difference to cover is 60cm over 7 meters, hence there will be 3 steps of 20cm each, separated by sections of walkway. I'm planing to lay bluestone pavers on compacted aggregate and sand. The walkway and the steps will be approx 120cm wide.
I'm not sure about be the best way to build the stairs:
1) Solid concrete pour with bluestone step treads and faces
Would require building of a formwork and mixing lots of concrete. I've done this before on another project, just not done the natural stone cover.
2) Concrete blocks in a mortar bed with bluestone step treads and faces
No formwork, less concrete mixing....
3) Solid Bluestone steps in a mortar bed
Probably the easiest, but maybe the most expensive option and I haven't come across solid bluestone steps yet
Any advice would be appreciated
