About to do my first ever paving. Took up some of the old stuff and I see they've got black plastic sheeting beneath about 8" of road base ( or 'cracker dust', 'quarry dust', whatever..).
I'd think that'd encourage water to lie there and while it mightn't dlamage the pavers or anything I still don't see the point of it.
Is it needed/recommended?
