New driveway & stormwater pit

Hi All,

I am requesting a new drive way to be build, however an existing stormwater pit will be impacted.

So far Council has provided positive feedback, but awaiting further confirmation. The process may either involve moving the stormwater pit or modifying the stormwater pit by inserting a grate.

Has anyone experienced this situation? Using an authorised operator to either move the stormwater pit for a new drive way or modifying the stormwater pit with a grate insert for new drive way?

Regards.
I was building townhouses.
Council town planning in initially required me to have straight driveway and build driveway over the street pit.

I amended the plans with council late in the build to have a driveway with just enough of an angle to avoid the cost of moving the pit. Council engineering department and town planning both agreed. Amazing.

How are you going?
If the cost is very high might be worth seeing if there is a way to avoid .
The Council requires the stormwater pit to be to moved. Still in the process of checking out specialised contractors. Once I have the figure, I'll update it here.
Councils!!
Could tou please provide info on the stormwater pit cost?

Plumbers 'can be' plumbers, made all the worse by self certification which the building surveyor invariably accepts as proof of compliance! The good thing is that you know know.
