Then the slab was poured and it looks like the pool (without coping) is sitting approx 4-5cm below the alfresco (without tiles). Adding 1cm alfresco tile and 2cm coping would leave finished pool level approx 3-4cm below alfresco. Can we fix this by using thicker coping? I can live with 1-2cm difference but not 4cm.
