Hi.
I'm looking in to getting a new driveway (and some associated paths) to replace my existing plain concrete. Problem is my driveway is quite steep and long-ish ~ 10 metres. I don't know how to explain the fall to give you all an idea of the slope but the excavation at the front of our yard for our retaining wall was 1.7 metres high at it's highest point
I love love love the look of exposed aggregate. And since I also am in a 'green' area and will be planting natives almost exclusively it seems to suit the look of agg very nicely. But I went to a display centre today to snoop and there was an agg driveway that had cracked quite badly and it was virtually flat
Someone recommended asphalt but I am not sold on the look entirely. Besides which, I have seen plenty of cracked or pock marked roads/footpaths done in asphalt!
ANy experts out there ...or people with steep drives who can give me some tips and hints and other words of wisdom
Thanks!
