Paving quote - thoughts

Hi all,

Looking at a quote I have for paving and after some thoughts. Job is in inner Sydney.

(supply of pavers is additional)

180 sqm @ $30000 = 167 per sqm

1. removal of old pavers, excavation.
2. sloping block - driveway and parking for 4 cars
3. I think it was 300 mm roadbase but it would be something like that.
4. Lay of new pavers in herringbone, standard edging etc.

It does feel expensive to me - I do want a quality job but when I break down the materials/effort/tools it feels a little $$$.
