Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Dec 27, 2017 5:55 pm Hi everyone I have a question regarding drainage for concrete pathways, we have finished our build and have moved in, next door is in the process of building and its been dragging on for about 12months now.... because next door is a zero lot there has been a lot of disruptions on our block of land regarding access, rubbish, damaged fences and gates. The owner next door plans to construct a concrete path around her house which is fair enough, I to would like to do this however at this point in time financially I cannot afford to do so. Now being on such a small block our houses are very close, in one section where her garage wall is being on the boundary is about a 950cm away from my garage wall. If she goes ahead with the concreting can she legally build the path up to the fence line without any drainage? Im concerned that due to the houses being so close and her property being up higher then mine that her run off will seep into my property. Are there any laws regarding this or am I worrying too much about nothing? Thank you in advance for any advice I said after the 1st build “ never again “ & now im on my 3rd Our relationship with the owner is good, but I'm not sure if I want to impose putting a pole on their property.
