I am particularly looking to deck the pergola approx. 22 squares, so am looking for ideas(something which looks good and is low maintenance) .Was hoping to get some ideas and rough estimates so that I plan accordingly . Re: home decking ideas / rough estimates 2Jul 31, 2017 7:30 pm Good idea, decks can make a huge difference in the look. It's hard to say a cost as the scope is unknown, but you could spend anywhere between 5-15k depending on the size and final design. Hardwood decks look good, but take a lot of maintenance. To keep them maintained and looking good they should be oiled a couple of times each year. Modwood in my opinion does not look as good but requires less maintenance. Regards James Mason www.renovationjunkies.com.au Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 10970 Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home.
