Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jan 13, 2017 11:39 am ok so we have a new build driveway is huge and the drive has quite a steep drop. due to site costs being doubled budget is a bit low and we are kinda country so an ashfelt drive would fit in nicely and be cheaper. however i got a quote for concrete and one for ashfelt huge difference and everyone is telling me the ashfelt one is just too cheap...some of the other ashfelt quotes have been not much lower than concrete (and ashfelt is supposed to be a lot cheaper), im really confused the cheaper one sounds great price wise and for what we are getting but cant have it stuffed up, how do i know if im getting a decent deal with him or of the others are overchrging im just really confused also at how thick it should be with the base etc everyone has their own ideas...
