Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Oct 29, 2016 9:56 pm We have clay brick pavers around our pool that are about 35-40 years old. They are laid on a sand cement base. The pavers are still in good condition and still level. The only problem is the grout has eroded away a bit over the years, some areas worse than others. This looks a bit tatty and also means weeds grow in the gaps. I want to repair the grout but am not exactly sure how to go about it properly. Do I use a special exterior grout, or can I just use good old brickie's mortar? Do I spread the grout/mortar and sponge it like with tiles, or do I have to painstakingly repoint the gaps so I don't get cement stains on the bricks? Appreciate the help in advance.
