Anyone used filler on cracked exposed aggregrate driveway?

Hi,

Just wonder if anyone has ever used filler to repair their cracked exposed aggregrate driveway?
Does it solve the problem?
And is the filler quite visible so it affects the look?

Our neighbour's contractor parked his truck on our driveway (just 1-2 months old!) and caused the hairline crack at the corner of the driveway.
He will send out a concreter to do a filler to repair the driveway since it's not structural damage.

However, our concreter (who made the driveway) said filler won't work and the only solution is to replace the whole driveway.
Our driveway is in beige/sand color btw.

Keen to know your experience with filler or any opinion from concrete expert in the forum, thanks!
Filling the crack will make it much more noticeable than leaving it. Its a really bad idea. (unless you find a specialist that has had success in the past then take his word for it)
The concreter can simply cut out the cracked panel up to the saw cuts and repour that. But it takes skill to match the exposures. Especially if the driveway is under exposed to start with. If the concreter is not confident in doing that then its best to leave it or find one that is.
Maybe just ask for some compensation? To repour the panel the concreter will probably want $1000 - $1500 as he would have to rip up and replace which is a days work. Then there would be 2 or 3 more visits to expose, acid wash and seal. And then theres the risk of it not matching. Which basically adds up to a job that nobody would really want to do.
Hi Rory,

Thanks for your input, appreciate it!
Your suggestion is exactly what our concreter suggested. The neighbor's contractor still insists on doing filler so we will see how it goes.
you never know... I have a feeling it will be too white and stand out from 10 times further away than the hairline crack... or be something that crumbles away when it rains... post back your results!
