Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jun 20, 2016 2:22 am Hi, I don't know anything technical about concrete, limestone, steel, rust.... so hope I can have some expert opinion here. We want to have liquid limestone for alfresco and pool surround and almost decided on one quote, then realise that the company uses steel mesh, not galvanised steel mesh. They said that they had been using steel for over 15 years and had not had any issues. Other quotes we received, most are using galvanised. So my question is, should we go for galvanised steel mesh? Will liquid limestone rust or corrode steel in the future years? The galvanised will cost more, but if it is critical, we will be prepared to pay for it, but just don't want to spend extra for something that is not essential. Any opinion will be great! Thanks!
