Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Jan 18, 2016 5:21 pm Hi all, I've bought a titled lot, and now I want to relocate its crossover. The problem is that the place where I would like the crossover to be has an nbn pit and the house drain. I've called nbn they can't put a steel lid on top of one of their pits, meaning it would have to be relocated. Council told me the house drain needs a permit to be relocated, and can be done by a plumber (maybe from city West water? Private?). Anyway, just wanted to know if anyone has gone through a similar process, specially with the NBN pit and the drain. How long did it take to resolve the NBN pit or the house drain, and how much it cost. Any help or information would be appreciated! Re: Crossover, nbn pit and home drain 2Jan 18, 2016 7:28 pm Don't know about the NBN pit . . . but I would have thought $$$$ Storm water drain is the councils responsibility not CWWater so a private plumber is the way to go. Re: Crossover, nbn pit and home drain 3Jan 18, 2016 7:37 pm And any idea on how much it would cost to relocate a storm water drain? Re: Crossover, nbn pit and home drain 4Mar 01, 2016 6:16 pm News on this one...to move the NBN pit costs 1900. That would move it to 5.6m from the boundary. I am thinking I probably don't need to move the drain pipes, as they are 4.8m from the boundary and very close to the footpath, so they would be close or just under the driveway (if I build a slightly bigger crossover than the standard 4.7m). Meaning if they have a problem they can probably be fixed without affecting the driveway Re: Crossover, nbn pit and home drain 5Mar 29, 2016 11:38 am newaussiedan Hi all, I've bought a titled lot, and now I want to relocate its crossover. We have an NBN pit in the garden between us and our neighbour. originally it was located in the wrong place by NBN co so they relocated it less than a metre at their cost. However, this took lots of persuasion etc and we had plans that showed it was in the wrong place. For them to move it otherwise was upward of $3k. in Perth. Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from.
