Browse Forums Paving & Concreting 1 Dec 27, 2015 10:56 am Looking for some advice on paving my driveway I have jack hammered off the existing brick paving and mortar back to the slab. Slab is 100mm thick and in pretty good condition (a few hairline cracks <1mm) and all the falls work well. I want to lay new paving most likely granite about 600x600x20. Existing paving was bricks, 50mm thick on about 20mm mud. The garage slab and the street crossover heights both need to me met. What is the best way to do this? Is it better to lay a screed and use tile adhesive to stick the stone down or lay them directly on sand and cement? I have used adhesive to stick paving to concrete so understand the added cost associated with adhesive but I would assume the time saved would offset that. Any advice is welcome.
